During third annual celebration for Children’s Day, Nissan donated outdoor fitness equipment to the community neighboring its manufacturing facilities, as a way to help educate around healthy lifestyles

Bangkok – More than 300 children from the Sisa Chorakhe Yai community joined the fun-filled Children's Day festivities organized recently by Nissan in Thailand.  More than 30 Nissan employees volunteered to lead the third year that Nissan has organized Children's Day activities at the Sisa Chorakhe Yai Community Center, for children living in the community next to Nissan's manufacturing facilities in Samut Prakan.

As part of this year's festivities, Nissan donated outdoor fitness equipment to the local community so as to help improve their overall quality of life, and to help the children develop healthy routines from a young age. The event also underscores Nissan's ongoing commitment to working closely with those communities near its manufacturing facilities.

Activities included a drawing challenge to stimulate creative imagination and a guess-the-word game to spur analytic thinking. In addition, the ‘Terra Terra' music challenge allowed children to become dancing stars and Youtubers for a day, and an instant photobooth provided an opportunity for young kids to roleplay a career of their dreams.

"Nissan remains deeply committed to supporting the places where our valued customers, employees and dealers live and work. And this ongoing Children's Day activity is just one small way that we continue to invest in our local communities," said Ramesh Narasimhan, president of Nissan in Thailand. "This event shows how our employees, working alongside community stakeholders, are able to help directly improve their communities and the lives of others."
